Being admitted to the database is perfectly simple. Should you wish to present accommodation, a region, travel products, a trip destination or culinary treats, take the following steps and you will be online in no time:
Registration:
Enter your name, address and e-mail address under “Registration” in the menu. Next you will have to specify the type of your presentation (region, accommodation, trip destination and/or. route, organised tour, culinary treats). Once you have accepted our terms and conditions and klicked “ok”, you are registered and will receive a confirmation e-mail with your user name and password.
Log in:
With these personal data you can enter the site via “Log in” in the menu and edit the individual points of your presentation. Your user name and membership number are issued for the duration of your membership. Naturally, you can change your password at any time.
Presentation:
Once you have logged in, you can enter the details of your offer under “presentation” in the menu.
This online questionnaire is largely self-explanatory, with just a few things to note:
Location:
(applies to all registrations except regions). The location is vital for the search. Entering continent, state and region (federal state or province) is obligatory; the tourism region need only be entered, if already listed in our database. If the region you wish to present has not yet been registered with us, we should be grateful, if you could send us an e-mail with the contact details. The same applies to quality labels.
Pictures:
You can upload up to 5 pictures per presentation. The size of the pictures should be 250 by 192 pixels, since otherwise the picture may be blurred. Always load the picture onto the server in JPEG format.
Higher resolutions or other graphic formats are not advisable, since the large memory requirements result in longer loading times.
ecological profile:
The eco-profile, based on a questionnaire specially generated for the gentle-tours database, roughly outlines the ecological commitment of the accommodation providers, regions and tour operators. The questionnaire also indicates how individual eco-profile values can be upgraded.
Membership fee:
International Friends of Nature is a non-profit organisation. Nevertheless, current costs need to be covered, which is why we collect an appropriate membership fee:
An annual fee of € 60,- for self-maintenance (standard)
For tour operators the fee covers 10 tours; for each additional tour the annual fee is increased by € 5,-. It goes without saying that you can rely on our assistance, even when you opt for self-maintenance.
For the initial information input and ongoing maintenance by a Gentle-Tours staff member, we charge an additional € 30,- per year.
For translations we charge a one-off fee of € 20,-.
Costs accruing to members:
After registration, you will be invoiced by e-mail with the membership fee (€ 60,-) for the first year, and asked to remit the amount to our account within 14 days. Upon receipt of your membership fee for the first year, your presentation will be activated, provided the complete content has been input. From this point in time you can be found in our database. You will be billed for extra charges (e.g. translations) in the next invoice.
Costs of additional registrations:
Once you have become a member of Gentle Tours and have registered a presentation, you will be charged at a reduced rate of € 20,- annually for any additional registrations (e.g. if you wish to add your culinary treats to the presentation of your eco-accommodation).
Maintenance:
With your user name, you can log in at any time, to change or update your data or to retrieve your statistics. The current number of hits on your page will be shown as an on-going display.
